Eighth Grade Advice
Before “graduating” from our Religious Education Program, our 8th Graders passed on some “words of wisdom” to our younger students. They shared some wonderful lessons and advice for students (and adults) about their faith. Here are some of their thoughts:
- God loves you because you are special in His eyes and you are unique.
- Go to church every Sunday and Holy Days to live your faith.
- Do good deeds because the best reward is seeing the reaction of the person you helped.
- We learned many things in Religious Education that helped us learn our faith, but you need to continue to learn by praying to God and going to church every week.
- Focus and you will be rewarded with a positive and healthy learning environment.
- Without faith you wouldn’t be spiritually and mentally sound, and faith will lead you in a path to success.
- Listen to your teachers and love God.
- Pray every day and night.
- God lets everything happen for a reason because He wants us to learn from our mistakes and grow.
- Keep your faith, and keep going to church.
- Jesus is with us whenever we pray.
- Use your time wisely and pay attention.
- Religious Education is the coolest thing ever so you can learn about your faith.
- Respect others.
- Learn how to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Love God and follow your religion.
- Be committed to your faith.
- Take time to think hard about what the church teaches you.
- Pay attention, and it’s all worth it!
- Your lessons will be with you the rest of your life!
